 The Black Rooster Gallery June-July show Dog Days of Summer will hang June 12th through July 10th. The show will include several of Taylor's rarely shown 2007 dog portraits, as bold and colorful as the tree series but a bit more on the playful side. The Dog Days of Summer theme at the Black Rooster Gallery emphasizes many aspects of summer living but also wishes to raise awareness of the needs of dogs, and other domestic pets. The Smyth County Humane Society and Promised Land Animal Rescue work diligently to assist animals in need in Smyth County VA. Donations will be made to each organization in honor of the Dog Days of Summer. Please help us in supporting their efforts. The Historic Downtown Marion VA Art Walk will bode several galleries and businesses with food, music and artists receptions throughout the evening of Friday, June 12th. The Black Rooster Gallery is located inside the beautifully restored General Francis Marion Hotel in downtown Marion VA.
