Black Rooster Gallery Featured Artist March 2008

Kristi Taylor will be the featured artist for March at the Black Rooster Gallery in Marion, Va. Works from Kristi's recent Tree View Collection will be included in the show. The Opening and artist reception is March 14, 2008, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m, part of Alive at Five - Marion's 2nd Friday Artwalk. Visit participating downtown businesses which will feature a new selection fine arts and crafts and other special events are scheduled including special music performances.

The Black Rooster Gallery is located in the Black Rooster Lounge on the ground floor of the newly renovated General Francis Marion Hotel in downtown Marion, Virginia. View Kristi's paintings on display from March 14th through the second week of April 2008.

The Black Rooster Gallery gets its name from an artistic tile motif in the floor of the General Francis Marion Hotel’s famous card room depicting a rooster. The card room and tile motif date from 1928, when the hotel was constructed. The Gallery has an open house the 2nd Friday of every month. Directions from I-81, Exit 45
Upon exiting, just follow the Marion sign to Main Street, about 3 minutes drive time. Turn left on Main Street and go through one traffic light. We're on your right, four blocks up Main Street.

Directions from I-81, Exit 47
Upon exiting, just follow the Marion sign. You will turn left onto Highway 11 West, which becomes Main Street. Proceed approximately 3 miles on Highway 11 West / Main Street through 5 traffic lights until you come into downtown Marion . We're almost at the top of the hill on your right
