The natural beauty of East Tennessee is evident in its landscapes and architecture as well as in its talented people. The Arts in the Airport program offers visitors to McGhee Tyson Airport a glimpse at the vision and creativity of area artists through a sampling of their work. This exhibit is a reflection of our region's heritage, culture and diversity.
Through a partnership with the Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville, the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority commissioned this six-month exhibit that will be on display past the security checkpoint from October 22, 2010 to April 2011. Juror Steve Wicks from the Knoxville Museum of Art selected 35 pieces out of over 400 submissions.
